'Witch-hunt' pair flee to the US

"No-one has the right not to be offended: that is the essence of a free society." I've always presumed that that was the case. However, the verdict on this case could have implications for many political websites, blogs and forums. I will watch with interest.

I think that it shows the inherent weakness of our society where people are soon going to be in need of protection from themselves. It would appear that the government might be wise to rename Britain 'Stepford' because that is clearly what they want. Wouldn't it be nice if there were no disagreements, we all thought the same way, we all followed the same religion, we all dressed the same, we all grew beards, for example, including the women, and we all did as the leaders said without thinking. There would be no more wars, no more poverty, no more crime, everyone treated as equals... ... that would be the case, wouldn't it?

Quite frankly, if the case is not appealed and the verdict overturned then we have become a banana republic overnight. This ruling is pathetic in the extreme. Talk about giving teeth to Thought Police! We might as well all commit mass suicide if this is what has come to pass in this sewer that we call a country.
