Why the surprise? Who said there was a surprise? Every Islamic fruitbat wants big bombs to blow up the west... and Israel. Let them have the bombs and there will be nuclear devastation. The muzzies WANT to be either martyrs or to control the planet. I think that their wishes should be accommodated... get the virgins ready!

As was correctly identified a few post ago, we've moving towards a completely polarised situation which is difficult to back down from. I don't like Ahmadinejad nor the religious regime in Iran (no surprises there) but I have met several Iranians that I've got along with - if fact I was invited to Iran last year but I didn't take up the offer. Shame really, I know that it would have been interesting. So, both sides are being pushed towards a possible confrontation with a possible outcome that could be catastrophic for years to come. Is this what we really want? Is this the inevitable 'clash of civilisations' that we've heard so much about or are there other, baser motives for all of this? Either way, these things are outside of our circle of influence although we would inevitably face repercussions infinitely more serious than the invasion of Iraq.

Shouldn't they all be hanging from a gibbet, Derius? When did I say that we should hang all Iranians? I have only argued that Ahmadinejad should not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. I would also like to point out that Ahmadinejad's regime has no qualms about hanging fellow Iranians. I'll post some links on it if you want.
