Inigo Wilson, the 'Lefty Lexicon' & intolerant Muslims This has been brought to my attention.

"At the start of this month Inigo Wilson wrote a 'Lefty Lexicon' for ConservativeHome's Platform. I was proud to publish his sharply and well-written piece that used humour to expose the workings of the left. Inigo's article reminded us all that attempts to change the meaning of words can powerfully distort and restrict public debate.
Some humourless Muslims - who, at the same time, appear willing to defend the terrorist organisation Hezbollah - have taken exception to Inigo's article and have complained to his employer about what he wrote. Inigo joked that charges of Islamophobia were thrown at "anyone who objects to having their transport blown up on the way to work". Unfair charges of racism are often, of course, thrown at people who want to debate an issue like immigration. It is vital that Britain and Britain's Muslims face up to the extremists within Britain's towns and cities who distort the religion of Islam to provide cover for their wicked plots. Some Muslims do not want to have any discussion of these issues. Just look how some reacted to George W Bush's 'Islamic fascists' remarks of last week.
Some Muslim extremists within Britain have pro-*test*-('")ed to Inigo Wilson's employer, the mobile phone company Orange, about the article and this has resulted in him being suspended. I am currently in Australia and timezone differences have meant that I have not been able to contact Inigo or Orange to find out more. The issue is now being discussed on other websites, however (see Pickled Politics, Guido and Iain Dale) and ConservativeHome cannot further delay getting involved in this vital issue of freedom of speech.
Certain Muslim extremists are determined to make Britain's public square a place where their views go unchallenged. One only has to remember the pro-*test*-('")s against the Danish cartoons. The cartoons suggested that Islam was not always a peace-loving religion and we ended up with pro-*test*-('")ors holding those extraordinary banners:
"Exterminate those who slander Islam."
"Behead those who insult Islam."
"Europe you will pay. Your 9/11 is on its way."
"Be prepared for the real holocaust."
ConservativeHome will do all it can to stand up for Inigo Wilson. His freedom of speech is our freedom of speech. Orange needs to know that."
